How a die-cut pizza box is built

A low corrugated box with a lid hinged on the back wall, a front tuck and double side walls that lock. Vent holes let steam escape.

Putting it together

  1. 1Fold the side walls up and lock them.
  2. 2Load the food.
  3. 3Close the lid and tuck the front.

Measuring for this style

Length (L)
The inside length of the base, side to side.
Width (W)
The inside depth of the base, front to back.
Height (H)
The inside height of the walls once the lid is closed.

All sizes are inside dimensions. Add 1 to 2 mm of clearance around the product. How to measure

When to choose it

For pizza, flatbreads and tarts delivered hot. Corrugated E-flute or B-flute keeps the base flat and the heat in. For cold bakery goods a lock-corner bakery box is lighter.

Before you print

  • Use food-contact board or a barrier coating where food touches the pack; ask for the certificates.
  • Grease and steam soften plain board; vents and coatings keep hot food packs rigid.
