Terms of use
The rules for using the Packaging Workshop website and studio, in plain language.
Last updated 12 October 2026
Using the studio
You may use Packaging Workshop to design packaging and download dielines for your own projects and your clients’ projects, free of charge. You do not need an account to design or export.
Please do not try to disrupt the service, probe it for weaknesses, scrape it in bulk, or use it to break the law.
Checking before production
Dielines are generated from the sizes and materials you enter. They are for review. You are responsible for having a manufacturer confirm structure, tolerances, board and print setup before production.
Studio-ready styles export cutting files built by the production engine with board allowances. Guide styles are drawn to your size for planning only and are not cutting files; request the production dieline before making a die from one.
Accounts
Accounts are optional. If you create one, keep your password private and tell us if you think someone else is using it. You can delete your account at any time from Account settings.
We may suspend accounts that are used to abuse the service or other people.
Your designs
You own the artwork and the designs you create. Artwork you place in the studio stays in your browser and is not uploaded. Boxes you save to an account are stored so we can show them back to you; we do not use them for anything else.
Our content
The Packaging Workshop name, logo, website text, illustrations and software belong to us. You may link to and quote short parts of the guides with credit. Dielines you generate are yours to use.
Quotes and orders
Sending a quote or sample request does not commit you to buy. Prices, minimum quantities, finishes and lead times are confirmed in each quote, and any order is made under the terms in that quote.
Availability and liability
We work to keep the service available but cannot promise it will be uninterrupted or error-free. Features may change as the product develops.
The free tools are provided as they are. We are not responsible for losses from using a file in production without your manufacturer’s approval. Nothing in these terms limits any rights you have by law that cannot be limited.
Changes to these terms
If we change these terms we update this page and the date at the top. Continuing to use Packaging Workshop after a change means you accept the new terms.
