How a magnetic closure book box is built

A rigid tray fixed into a case-wrapped cover that opens like a book. The front cover closes with hidden magnets.

Measuring for this style

Length (L): The inside length of the base tray.
Width (W): The inside width of the base tray.
Height (H): The inside height of the closed box. Lids and wraps are sized from it with board allowances.

All sizes are inside dimensions. Add 1 to 2 mm of clearance around the product. How to measure

When to choose it

For premium gift sets, electronics and presentation packs that open like a book. If storage space or shipping cost is a concern, choose the foldable magnetic rigid box.

Before you print

Rigid boxes are made from 1.5 to 3 mm greyboard wrapped in printed paper; they do not fold flat after making.
Wraps need about 15 to 20 mm turn-in over the edges; supply artwork with that margin.
Lead times are longer than folding cartons because wrapping is partly manual.
