How a telescoping tray & cover box is built

Two trays: a base and a slightly larger cover that telescopes down over it, partly or fully.

Putting it together

1Set up both trays.
2Load the base.
3Slide the cover down over it.

Measuring for this style

Length (L): The inside length of the base.
Width (W): The inside width of the base, front to back.
Height (H): The inside wall height.

All sizes are inside dimensions. Add 1 to 2 mm of clearance around the product. How to measure

When to choose it

For stationery, shirts and gift sets that need a lift-off cover at folding-carton cost. For rigid quality choose a two-piece rigid box.

Before you print

The cover needs clearance of about two board thicknesses over the base on each side.
